MSNE & Outdoor Therapy Services

In the recently published book, Nature-Based Allied Health Practice, by Amy Wagenfeld & Shannon Marder, the Monarch School of New England serves as a case study to highlight how outdoor therapy services are possible within a school setting. We’re thrilled that the authors chose to include our school as an example, since our collaborative and integrated approach actively engages students in learning – both indoors and outside!

A team of staff members, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, a teacher of the visually impaired, administrators, and of course, our own Horticultural Therapist, Kathy Perry, all contributed to this project.
